Troubleshooting 101

Review, Setting Any Controller, which provides the methods to setting the different controllers (or dial) on the units.

New units and repairs cannot be requested unless these steps are taken, documented and communicated to JRDM.

During normal business hours, we STRONGLY ADVISE THAT YOU CALL JRDM WHILE AT THE STORE! We can walk through the steps together, over the phone. This helps to avoid further troubleshooting visits and facilitates faster repair turnarounds!

If the unit is not working properly, follow these steps:

Plug in the unit and turn on

1. Does the unit power on? If no, see #3

2. If yes, record current temp and set to 36 degrees

2a. Confirm set method is correct - review document, Setting Any Controller

2b. Can you hear the unit ‘running’?

2c. Record temperature after 30 minutes

2d. Take picture of digital controller

2e. Record temperature after 45 minutes

If unit has not dropped within five degrees of desired temperature after 45 minutes, leave the unit empty and notify management why you have left the unit empty and that it most likely will need a repair.

Record store contact's first name and title - MUST BE ACCURATE AND PROVIDED TO JRDM ALONG WITH THE ABOVE INFO/PICS

3. If unit does not power on, try another outlet or use something to test that the outlet works

3a. Once a working outlet is found/confirmed, press the power button after plugging in

3b. If the unit still does not power on, take a picture of the digital display

3c. Move to the back room of the store - do NOT place the unit inside the main cooler or freezer NOR outside in the elements

3d. Place a SIGN on the unit that says ‘HOLD FOR REPAIR’

3e. Take a picture of the Serial Number on the back of the unit.

3f. Notify management why the unit is in the back room.

3g. Record contact's first name and title

Email recorded name/title, details and pictures, including the SERIAL NUMBER, to jackie@jrdemos.com.
